If you are traveling out of the country, check to make sure you have the necessary records and quarantine information for that particular country. You may also want to have your vet provide tranquilizers for your pet if this is necessary.
Do some online research for pet-friendly lodging. You may be pleasantly surprised at how many motels and hotels across the country accept pets.
